Well I don't think that the MIG-29's are needed for the SLAF as at now since they got six F-7G's to counter the TAF. It's good to have the MIG-29's but, the Govement must think also of the cost involved and then the will have to get Russian pilots to train our pilots which will be a extra cost. But if the Rissian govement is provideing the MIG's and the pilots at a very low cost then I think the we can consider.
