Video coverage of the attack is now available on the http://www.defence.lk/ website of the Ministry of Defence. The initial strike appears to be carried out with a deep penetrating bunker buster type weapon which leaves a large crater of significant depth, followed by a larger number of ordnance in a scatter pattern. Precision targetting clearly takes out all identified targets in this strike.
Watch for the first strike by the Mig at low altitude, probably below 300 feet, followed by a Mig-27 which delivers the second strike. Low altitude strike capability indicates that the anti aircraft capabilities formerly boasted by pro-terrorist media has now become either defunct due to effective on board counter-measures carried by the aircraft, or were only bogus bravado by the yapping hyenas of imaginary e-lam. Or it just may be the old and proven combination of strategy, stealth and speed which takes them right to the target with no opposition. This is gutsy flying, to go supersonic at tree top level and the Sri Lankan pilots are proving to be in a class of their own.
